This orchid design draws inspiration from the Shen Yun piece, Poets of the Orchid Pavilion. In ancient China, scholar-philosophers would retreat deep into the mountains for self-cultivation and harmonization with the Dao, or Way. In the calligraphy masterpiece, Preface to the Orchid Pavilion Gathering, Wang Xizhi created a magnificent fusion of lofty philosophy and worldly art.
